Kotchandpur (Bengali: কোটচাঁদপুর) is an Upazila of Jhenaidah District in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.

Geography

Kotchandpur is located at . It has 19773 units of house hold and total area 165.66 km². It is the south west part of Bangladesh. This city is very close to India. It is famous for Boluhor Fisher Project.

Demographics

As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Kotchandpur has a population of 107193. Males constitute are 51.4% of the population, and females 48.6%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 54897. Kotchandpur has an average literacy rate of 26.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
